I can't capture a store. Why?
You need to be within 100 meters of the store, with GPS location enabled. Check Settings → COMBINIxHUNTER → Location → "While Using the App". If you're at the right location but still blocked, your GPS signal may be weak (try stepping outside or into an open area).
Why is my capture rejected?
Captures are verified server-side. Common rejection reasons: (1) GPS was more than 100m from the store, (2) the photo is a duplicate of one you already captured, (3) you tried to capture the same store twice. Each store can only be captured once per account.
A store is missing from the map. Can I add it?
Yes! Use the "Submit Store" tab. Stand in front of the store, add the address, and submit. Our team reviews submissions within 48 hours. Submit quality data — we reject duplicates and fakes.
What are "Top 10" stores?
The Top 10 are the most iconic convenience stores in the world — flagship locations and stores with cultural or historical significance. They appear as gold pins on the map. Capturing one gives bonus points and a special stamp.
How does the streak work?
Your streak increases by 1 every day you capture at least one store. Miss a day and it resets to 0. Keep your streak alive for bonus XP multipliers (x2 at 7 days, x3 at 30 days).
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Profile → Logout → "Delete my account" (coming in next update). Alternatively, email us and we'll delete your account and all data within 30 days.
Is COMBINIxHUNTER affiliated with any retailer?
No. COMBINIxHUNTER is an independent project — a worldwide hunt for convenience stores. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any convenience store retailer or its trademark owners. Chain names are referenced solely to identify the real-world subject of the hunt. All store data comes from OpenStreetMap (open public data) or user submissions. See our Terms of Service for the full third-party-trademark disclosure.
Does the app use a lot of battery or data?
GPS is only accessed when you open the Capture or Map tab — never in the background. Photos are ~200KB each. Typical play session: less than 1% battery, less than 5MB of mobile data.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Email combinihunter@gmail.com with: (1) what happened, (2) what you expected, (3) your device model + OS version, (4) steps to reproduce. Screenshots or screen recordings help a lot.
